Take a Chance

A year ago today, Preston and I had our second date. It was on this date that we decided we wanted to take a chance on one another. Little did we know that this decision would lead to marriage five months later. When I messaged him a little over a year ago to say hi, I was really just looking for a new friend. Who knew that he would be my best friend, my confidant, and the love of my life?

When we first started dating, I was hesitant. I remember texting a friend of mine about being nervous because I didn't know what was happening or if I even wanted this to work out. Boy am I ever glad that I took a chance and let him into my life.

In honor of our year: Step outside your comfort zone. Get to know someone new. Who knows, they may be your best friend a year from now.
