Of Graduations, Las Vegas, and Job Interviews
By Clarissa
Wow, so much has happened since I last wrote. Where shall I start?
I applied to work with VIPKID. I'm hoping to make a little bit of money teaching English to Chinese kids online. It sounds like a challenge, but I think I'm up for it! I have to set up an interview for next week. I put it off because... wait for it...
My other news! Preston and I visited my family down in Las Vegas this last weekend!
Preston got to meet my siblings for the first time. I think it went well. And it was fun being with my family for a few days after being apart for a year and a half. Sometimes I miss Vegas, but not because of the casinos, the heat, the lights. and the noises. I miss it because that's where my family is. Sometimes I wish we could move back, so I could see them more often. But I do love it here in Oregon, and it's nice being near Preston's family.
Proud sister moment: my little brother graduated from High School! I still can't believe he's eighteen years old! I'm excited to see what he does with his life! I guess only time will tell.
I hope that everyone else has had a great few weekends! Watch out for my next post coming to you Sunday!
